It was an informational site with a large community of people who were passionate about technology. We all loved to talk about our new toys and share how we were using them in our daily lives. New products came out so often, and as such I reviewed the most interesting devices as they came out. Our community was very helpful in giving me insight into these products and their opinions on them as well as collecting feedback from the people they knew using them for more real world experience. I also had my own personal wish list for gadgets that I wanted to buy and use myself. I was able to find a few of those, and I documented the ones that I built and built before retiring them for something else. As time went on, and our community grew and changed, we found that we needed to make some changes to the site. We found that we were quickly running out of room for content, and it was becoming more difficult to try and place our reviews into a weekly or monthly format as the weeks passed by. This is when I decided to change things around a bit! Our users can still write reviews for us if they choose, or use our forum to discuss product features or just have a good old chat with other users. In late 2015 I decided that this site needed a new skin to better display our content. As such, I was using a site called Free WordPress sites, which unfortunately had the limitations that if you were not using a paid hosting package, your room for customization would be very limited. After some time and looking at other themes I found one that was similar to what we had been using for years called Contact Builder Plus by Alex Guimarães. This theme is completely free and allows me to customize our page as well as upload my own artwork to present images and the tags of the products that we review on certain pages. The theme has been great for us, and it has only gotten better as time has gone on. eccc085e13
